The 2023-2024 Skola school year begins on September 5th and ends on May 31st.
A Skola school year includes 148 school days + 14 J-term days; however, we prioritize family flexibility and so your family gets to decide how many days to attend.
Most public and private school years last 160 – 170 days; but according to MN homeschool law, there is no minimum requirement. Our school day would provide more (and higher quality) contact hours than a traditional model, and longer breaks would provide more time for family and other social activities.
J-term days will be days without core subjects and in a different routine. Only one teacher will be present on J-term days and they will consist of a unique focus, large chunks of play and group projects.
